What is SpyAxe?
SpyAxe is a rogue antispyware program classified as adware. It promotes itself using a trojan that produces false Windows-like alert messages designed to prompt the user to download SpyAxe. The program that produces the false alert messages can be installed without the user's knowledge by a downloader trojan that exploits a flaw in Windows. It may also download and install SpyAxe without prompting the user. To stop the false alert messages, the hidden program that's producing them needs to be removed along with any associated downloader trojans and installers.
 SpyAxe False Alert Message
SpyAxe does not supply an uninstaller or removal instructions on their website. On their FAQ page there is a message in ultra-small print "If you had to buy our software because of illegal & prohibited advertising of one of our affiliates, please, contact us as soon as possible & provide us full information about this matter. It will help us to find & block that unfair affiliate & to clean your PC from harmful programs free of charge...". If there is such a rogue affiliate he or she would be very easy to isolate. It is more likely that this company has interests in adware or spyware and is trying to discredit the antispyware industry with its antispyware program (SpyAxe) that behaves no differently from the spyware it's supposed to remove.
How To Remove SpyAxe
To remove SpyAxe first try the Windows Add/Remove Programs utility. Whether or not SpyAxe can be removed using this method you will still need to be certain that the trojans have been properly removed. To completely remove SpyAxe, its trojans and pop-up messages we recommend using a reputable spyware removal program such as XoftSpySE. XoftSpySE is designed to safely remove spyware, adware, trojans and rogue programs such as SpyAxe. XoftSpySE is completely safe to use. [learn more].

Technical Support
P.S. On January 5th 2006 Microsoft released a security update to fix the WMF vulnerability that's allowing downloader trojans to easily infect PCs. If your PC does not have Automatic Updates then visit the Microsoft website and download the latest security updates. This will protect your PC against future infections but will not remove existing infections.
